Meet the team.

It’s nice to know who you’re dealing with, so get to know our intermediary squad. It’s our people who make Suffolk Building Society special.

Charlotte Grimshaw

Head of Intermediary Relations & Mortgage Sales

Charlotte Grimshaw

Head of Intermediary Relations & Mortgage Sales

Charlotte is no stranger to mutual lenders, having worked for two societies before joining the Suffolk in 2020. Charlotte is all about building relationships with clubs, networks and intermediaries, and works closely with the team to make improvements to both the broker and client journeys. Outside of work Charlotte enjoys spending time in the kitchen cooking up a storm and redecorates on a regular basis, although more often than not she’ll be carrying out damage limitation to whatever has taken her Labrador Paddy’s latest fancy. If you need random holes digging, remote controls chewed or bank holiday visits to the vet – Paddy’s your pup.

Andrew Sadler

Key Account Manager

Andrew Sadler

Key Account Manager

Andrew has been with the Society since April 2015, and in the industry for over 20 years beforehand. There are few cases which Andrew hasn’t seen before and he loves being out and about visiting brokers, but most of all to help place a case where other lenders may say no. Andrew happily admits he is a geek at heart and is a keen Star Wars fan, with the 1977 original film the second film he ever saw in a cinema.

Andrew manages our Key Account firms throughout London and Clubs and Networks.

Ian Stockley

Business Development Manager

We welcomed Ian back to the Society in 2017, following 12 years with us previously. Hailing from the West Country, Ian is a fan of Bath City FC and visits many football grounds around East Anglia as he follows The Romans. Ian is a keen sportsman himself and, when not at work or watching a match, he can usually be found pounding the pavements or in the gym.

Ian covers intermediaries based in the postcodes: IP, NR, CM, CO, SS, ME, CB, SG, AL, HP, PE, IG, RM.

Leah Gibbard

Business Development Team Leader

Leah Gibbard

Business Development Team Leader

Leah started with the Society in 2022, having previously worked at a marketing agency before she moved to Ipswich in late 2019 and started her mortgage career working for a couple of broker firms. Originally from Windsor, when she was growing up Leah lived in the grounds of Windsor castle and has seen the Queen “plenty of times”, even towel drying the corgis on many occasions. Leah now lives with her husband, taking care of her young stepdaughter on weekends and being servant to three cats and a dog. Spare time is in short supply but Leah can often be found walking, enjoying Ipswich’s waterfront bars or holidaying on the Greek island where her parents now live.

Bea Palmer

Business Development Representative

Bea Palmer

Business Development Representative

Bea has worked in financial services since 2012, at mutual lenders and most recently as a mortgage broker. After life on the administration and advising side, Bea joined us in 2021 for a new challenge. Bea is looking forward to working with brokers on complex cases, finding solutions that fit. Outside of work Bea enjoys travelling and has completed Route 66, plus is always happy talking all things Disney, Marvel and Star Wars.

Vicky O’Connor

Business Development Representative

Vicky O’Connor

Business Development Representative

Vicky joined us in 2021 and is enjoying her first ever role in financial services. Vicky brings a little bit of the North East to Suffolk, as she is originally from Newcastle and moved to Ipswich to be closer to family. Outside of work Vicky spends her time with her young family and her beagle dog, Alan.

Adrian Turner

Business Development Representative

Adrian Turner

Business Development Representative

Having worked as a letting agent for many years, Adrian joined the Society in late 2023 and is looking forward to a long career here! When he’s not discussing criteria and products with brokers, he enjoys spending time with his wife and son, exercising in the gym or running, eating lots of pasta, and drinking lots of coffee.

Sian Chapman

Business Development Representative

Sian Chapman

Business Development Representative

Sian joined the Society in 2020 as part of our apprenticeship programme, gaining a qualification in business administration. She soon progressed to a full-time role within the mortgage sales team and has been invaluable ever since! Sian loves a good holiday – it’s not unusual for her to jet off abroad four times a year – and is half Italian, which explains her love of Italian food. She also enjoys Mexican cuisine and if cooking a meal, she’d go for a pasta dish or a burrito. Sian is a fan of Yeezys, entering raffles to get her hands on the latest hard to get pair, although says she only has about ten pairs of trainers… at the moment!

Joseph Mitchell

Business Development Representative

Joseph Mitchell

Business Development Representative

Having spent 7 years working in online gaming, 5 of which were spent abroad, Joseph returned to his roots and made the switch to Suffolk Building Society in early 2024, moving to the Business Development team in August of the same year.

Outside of work Joseph spends the majority of his time in his local park playing frisbee with his rescue dog, Will, or running around the trails of the Suffolk countryside.
